Dear Partners in Ministry,
Happy Thanksgiving! Whether you're here in town (and maybe singing with me at Mass tomorrow?) or traveling to be with loved ones, may your holiday be a time to rekindle gratitude, love, and joy. I know I have a lot to be thankful for this year, and this parish is definitely high on the list.
Reminder: Thanksgiving Day Mass, 9:00 am
All are welcome to join me in ministry. And, of course, no rehearsal tomorrow night.
And speaking of being thankful:
Thanks so very much to everyone who took part in, volunteered for, and came to enjoy the concert last Friday. Christian and Luke were as happy as I was at the energy and participation of everyone who gathered, and it meant so much for us to make music together again— especially in my new parish home.
As I mentioned in the concert, if there were pieces we performed that you'd like to see included in our parish repertoire, send me an email and let me know. Any of us would be honored to know our work is bearing such spiritual fruit here.
Advent Is Here!
It's time, my friends! This weekend, we'll begin a new liturgical year and our first Advent together.
- If you haven't found your copy of Mass of Renewal, be sure to hunt it down for the weekend.
- We'll sing "Emmanuel" (JS 299) as the Gathering Song each Sunday of Advent.
- We'll bless the Advent wreath at each Mass this weekend.
- Bell Choir will take a break from weekend playing during Advent, but will ring away for our "Gaudete!" concert and Christmas.
- We'll sing Bob Hurd's "O God, Hear Us" as the response to the Universal Prayer.
