St. Noel Concert Series

After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, the beloved St. Noel Concert Series returns this Fall!

This year, we welcome a mix of familiar and favorite artists and some brand new faces to the Series, each bringing a unique and inspiring gift of musical beauty for all to enjoy.

Admission is always free and open to the public; a freewill offering will be collected at each performance to support the artists and the Series.

With tremendous gratitude to our 2022-23 Series Sponsors:

Steve and Carolyn Kuerbitz

and all those who have contributed to the Series!

BACH'S MUSIC BOX
Friday, March 3, 2023, 7:30 pm

Exploring excerpts from J.S. Bach's iconic keyboard work, the Goldberg Variations, percussionists Katalin La Favre and Brian Calhoon infuse this timeless music with intriguing timbres of metallic percussion instruments. Beginning the work as a vibraphone duet, the arrangements become increasingly experimental, exploring the surprising sounds of tongue drums, tuned glass bottles, and handbells. As the audience wonders what will happen next, these arrangements give a unique spin on this classic.
