THE WEDNESDAY REPORT: November 19, 2025

Dear Partners in Ministry,

We are in those weeks of transition from one liturgical year to another— Christ the King (Nov 23) marks the final Sunday of Ordinary Time, and the following Sunday (Nov 30) is the first of the Advent season. Two annual traditions are right around the corner, so let's catch up!

1. BREAKING BREAD SWAP: After the 11:00 Mass this Sunday, we'll be ready to swap out the 2025 and 2026 editions of the Breaking Bread missals in the pews. We'll also be adding a second resource, a Missal Supplement containing several songs we have reprinted repeatedy in the past, and a few new-to-us gems I hope to introduce to the parish next year.

I'm spreading this process out a bit compared to the all-at-once procedure we've done in years past. So, I 'm asking for volunteers on Sunday and Wednesday of next week!

SUNDAY, after 11 am Mass: removing all missals from the pews, emptying out covers

WEDNESDAY, 1 pm: Assembling and distributing 2026 editions

If you can help on either day, THANK YOU! Please let me know that you're coming.

2. THANKSGIVING DAY: We'll break in those new books on Thanksgiving morning, as we celebrate Mass at 9:00 am. Readings and selections are now available below; we'll meet at 8:30 to prepare.

Two additional items for all of you:

1. Please do not turn in music unless I ask for it. I found a few copies of "It Would Have Been Enough" which we're singing this weekend, in the bin on Sunday. This in turn caused some avoidable confusion for other choir members. If a piece is not on the list at the bottom of your song sheets, or unless I ask for it directly, assume it's still needed and hang on to it.

2. We've moved all the Music Ministry Google files to our new parish Google Workspace. I've updated all the links at the bottom of the page. If you're a bookmarker when using your web browser, please update them to these new addresses.
