Dear Partners in Ministry,
This Lent has flown by, and you've been amazing throughout the season... but now we're only two weeks from the beginning of our Triduum celebrations! The next two (or three?) rehearsals are critical to our celebrations, and any work you can do on your own in preparing and polishing music will be a huge help to you and all of us.
TOMORROW NIGHT
I'd like to prepare both our March 17 and Palm Sunday repertoire tomorrow night, so that we have more time to devote to Triduum music next Thursday. We'll still go through our two choral pieces to finish the night.
TAIZÉ PRAYER FRIDAY NIGHT
A reminder that you're invited to bring your freshly-Fish-Fry-fed selves to Taizé Prayer around the Cross at 7:30pm in the church. While we won't have a choir per se, the presence of many choir members in the pews sure makes those SATB ostinatos come to life...
HOLY WEEK REHEARSAL?
I believe we are in need of one additional rehearsal before Holy Thursday, focused entirely on our Triduum celebrations. Tomorrow night, I'd like to take a quick poll about whether Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday would be the best option for a 7-9 rehearsal.
