THE WEDNESDAY REPORT: June 4, 2025

Dear Partners in Ministry,

Happy June! Just a trio of bite-size items for this week.

No Rehearsal: A reminder that Parish Choir is done with regular Thursday rehearsals for the summer. Bells will rehearse tomorrow night, but choir will not.

Pentecost and Confirmation: A reminder that our Confirmation Mass is set for this Sunday at 11 am. We'll gather at 10:30 as usual to prepare.

One note for the other two Masses: due to space constraints in the bulletin, I've had to sub in JS 431, "Send Us Your Spirit," at the Preparation of the Gifts (replacing 8.010, "Spirit of Our God.")

Concert Series Committee: I think I'm all set for Artist Liaisons, but I could use some additional volunteers for the other three "positions" on the Committee, namely:

  • Hospitality Coordinator: a highly-organized people person who coordinates the audience hospitality for each concert: arranging for and supporting volunteer greeters to assist guests and distribute programs, setting up the freewill offering table, opening the church for seating, and assisting guests when needed. 
  • Stage Manager: Coordinates the setup and teardown of chairs, podiums, mics, and the piano as needed for each concert; arranging for and supporting volunteers to assist as needed. This can be a somewhat physically strenuous task, requiring the ability to lift and move sometimes heavy objects.
  • Rooms Managers: A detail-oriented person who can set up, secure, and clean up the Resurrection and Nativity Rooms for our artists.
