Dear Partners in Ministry,

I spent most of the day with my colleagues, preparing for tonight's opening of the parish art show (which you should definitely check out if you haven't already!). The Wednesday Report slipped my mind until tonight, but better late than never!

It's Ordinary Time!

Somehow, Christmas is already behind us, and Lent is coming too soon; but in the meantime, we have a seven-week stretch of Ordinary Time to reflect on Christ manifested in the Scriptures and in the present; to renew our call to be light for the world and salt for the earth. For Music Ministry, this brings us to a second go with Sarah Hart's Mass of St. Mary Magdelene. It's been a little while now, so please take advantage of the YouTube links available below to reacquaint yourself with this setting. In a few weeks, our parish RCIA process begins, so stay tuned for how these rites will impact our liturgies.

Meanwhile, Lent music selections are almost finalized; I'm hoping to wrap this up and open selections to you by the weekend.

It's Turn-In Time!

Tomorrow's the big day: the librarians and I are ready to receive any parish music we're not using, so we can get it safely stored away for the next time we need it. Whether we just finished using it or you've had it for years, it's time to turn it in.

Reminder: please ensure your folder number is on every piece of music so you'll get the same copy back with all your notes when we sing that song again.
