As many of you know, we're swamped this week, so my report is a quick one... but an important one! Read on...

LENT UPDATES

Some additional notes for our Lenten season:

SONG SHEETS AVAILABLE: I don't know why the sharing permissions changed on the Lent song selections, but I've now changed them back. Sorry for the trouble!
KYRIE: We will use Luke Rosen's Kyrie Litany this season, along with Penitential Act, Form B. You'll get temp scores tomorrow night.
LAMB OF GOD: We'll use the Mass of Renewal Lamb of God instead of the chanted Agnus Dei.

JANÈT SULLIVAN WHITAKER CONCERT

With the rush of funerals, I'm way behind in preparing materials for our concert with Janèt Sullivan Whitaker on Feb 23, but here's what I can tell you:

There will be five pieces you know already; we just need to adapt a few things for this concert.
- Christ Before Us
- Here At This Table
- Canticle of the Free (from Easter Vigil)
- Magnificat (tune: FINLANDIA, "Be Still, My Soul")
- In Every Age
We'll have refrains for some new-to-us repertoire too.
Janèt and/or I will take on the remaining pieces.

TAIZÉ: DATE CHANGE

After reviewing our plans for Friday prayer opportunities in Lent, it became clear that the Taizé Prayer I'd scheduled for Thursday, Mar 21 would serve the parish much better on Friday, Mar 15. The 21st will be a rehearsal as usual— the last one before Palm Sunday, in fact!
