Dear Partners in Ministry,
With a mere twenty-some hours to go until we begin our celebrations of the Triduum, let me simply say THANK YOU to every one of you who will take any part in these celebrations. For as much as I might grumble about the work and the stress, I genuinely love the Triduum, and celebrating my fourth one (!) with you fills my heart with gratitude and joy. (And I promise I'll rest on Monday.)
Here's to washed feet, broken bread, crosses carried, vigils kept, and an empty tomb come the morning.

NEWS
Music Ministry: Call times for Triduum Liturgies
Please remember that these are start times, not arrival times. Please arrive 10-15 minutes beforehand to settle in, greet each other, and be in place, ready to get things rolling. Instrumentalists: please arrive 15-20 minutes ahead to set up and tune.
HOLY THURSDAY: rehearsal begins at 6:20 p; Mass of the Lord's Supper begins at 7:00 p.
GOOD FRIDAY: rehearsal begins at 2:15 pm and ends by 2:45, so that those arriving will have a quiet church to pray in before our liturgy. Commemoration of the Lord's Passion begins at 3:00 p.
HOLY SATURDAY: rehearsal begins at 8:15 p; The Easter Vigil Mass begins at 9:00 p.
IN YOUR FOLDERS: the Prayer of the Faithful response from Mass of Encounter, which we'll use throughout the Easter Season.
EASTER VIGIL CANTORS: Since I always think of Triduum as the Liturgical World Series, I feel good about borrowing a tradition from baseball. Pam is our first cantor of the evening. While she is singing, I would ask the next cantor (Greg) to be "on deck" in the seat next to the small sacristy/music room doorway. Once finished, Pam will hand the binder to Greg on her way back. When he goes up, Kathy H will take his place at the chair, and so on. This way, we're ready well ahead of time, and there's no sudden scramble to find the binder before singing.
EASTER VIGIL BRASS: we'll need to bring down your overall volume as a general rule. Let's treat any dynamic above mp to be about 10% softer than usual. Thank you.
NEXT THURSDAY will be a Cantor Night, not a full choir rehearsal.
