Dear
Parishioner,
Every
parishioner who has contributed to support St. Noel in the collection
in 2007 should have received an acknowledgement letter in the last
few weeks.
Since
our parish financial year ends with the last day of June, I am pleased
to report that our average weekly collections and gifts from July
2006 to June 2007 amounted to $15,116. This average amount exceeded
the minimum weekly average of $14,500 set by the finance council.
This places us in a positive cash flow situation which is necessary
if we are to thrive as a parish. You will be receiving, this Fall,
a complete financial accounting as usual in our Annual Report on
Parish Life. It will include a projected budget for 2007-2008. As
pastor, I believe that it is important that the entire parish has
a complete and reliable accounting of our financial situation. Your
stewardship offerings are your expression of your thankfulness to
God and your support of our ministry to promote the Gospel of Christ.
My stewardship of the contributions entrusted to St. Noel includes
reporting to you that your gifts are being used wisely.
Our
financial situation is positive and stable. Thank you for reflecting
seriously upon what you can give to our mission as a parish and
your faithfulness in offering it.
Fr.
George Smiga
