Dear
Parishioner,
Summer
is now in full swing and a committee of dedicated parishioners has
been working to plan our parish picnic. The picnic will take place
this year on Sunday, August 26 th at Campbell Park which is the
field behind Willoughby Hills City Hall. It will be an afternoon
of food, games and community. At 1:00 p.m. the craft table for children
will open with artwork, face painting and tie-dying t-shirts. We
will also begin selling 50/50 raffle tickets. At 1:30 p.m. organized
games for adults and children ages 1-6 will start. At 2:30 p.m.
bingo will be available, at 3:30 p.m. we will announce the winner
of the pie-baking contest (so think of entering). Dinner will start
at 4:00 p.m. – Chef Randy will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, and
sausage with sauerkraut. We encourage parishioners who come to bring
with them an appetizer, side dish or dessert to share. After dinner
(around 5:00 p.m.) we will hold a St. Noel Talent Show where parishioners
will be encouraged to share their talents (hidden or otherwise);
singing, juggling, comedy, acrobatics, etc.
There
will be other surprises which will be announced in the upcoming
weeks. It is a major effort to plan and execute the picnic so if
you are able to help in preparation or on the day please call Barb
Mills at 440-477-3698. Most importantly mark your calendars and
plan to join us to celebrate our parish life together.
