Dear Parishioner,

Over the last few years we have been blessed at St. Noel by the presence of an active and growing handbell choir as part of our music ministry. New members and new bells have allowed our bell choir to approach almost 5-octives which is impressive in light of the 2-octives with which we began. A significant part of this development is due to the talents and time of Elke White who has worked with Marc Weagraff our Director of Music Ministries, as to infuse, energy and expertise into our program. As a member of the American Guild of Handbell Ringers, Elke has also coordinated a number of concerts here at St. Noel by distinguished hand bell choirs.

On the weekend of August 17 th -19 th St. Noel is hosting a Handbell Clinic which will offer training to handbell ringers. H. Dean Wagner, the Music Director for the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls will direct the clinic. Dean Wagner is a nationally known handbell composer, arranger, and teacher. We are pleased to host this event at St. Noel which will draw participation from throughout northeast Ohio.

As part of this event, The Renaissance Ringers, directed by Dean Wagner, will hold a parish concert here at St. Noel on Sunday, August 19, at 5:30 p.m. Your free-will offering will benefit our Social Justice Fund. I highly encourage you to attend. As an added benefit some of the Renaissance Ringers plan to join members of our own bell choir as they play at all the Masses on the weekend of August 18 th &19 th .

I am grateful as pastor for the vitality of our Music Ministry and the growth of our bell choir. Let us show our support for this valuable ministry (on the weekend of August 18 th &19 th ) by our presence at Mass and at the concert on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

St. Noel Endowment Fund Although we all put off thinking about end of life issues, it is important to our families and loved ones that we address these issues.   It may seem overwhelming to take that first step but it is important to consider four basic planning documents to get started:   a Last Will and Testament, Health Care Power of Attorney, Living Will and a Financial Power of Attorney.   You should discuss which documents fit in with your estate plan with your attorney.   If you would like to include the St. Noel Endowment Fund in your estate plan, please contact the St. Noel office at 440-946-0887.
