Dear Parishioner,
It is not always easy for us to ask for assistance. In fact most of us probably prefer to be the one offering help, rather than the one being helped. However, the truth is that we are called by the Gospel to be in relationship with one another so that whoever is in need can be supported. At any given moment any one of us could be struggling. Our poverty could be physical, emotional or spiritual and the only way for others to be able to assist us, is for us to make our need known.
This brings me to an invitation for those of you who may be suffering financially because of the economic down turn or the possible loss of a job. Our food pantry is here to help. Please call upon us. The pantry is open Monday and Thursday mornings so you can select the items you want, or we can give you a prepackaged order of items. A phone call to the parish office (440-946-0887) will be handled confidentially, provide you with all the details and allow you to set up an appointment to come in to the pantry. Our volunteers are respectful, caring and want to be of assistance.
When your situation turns around we will welcome your contributions to the pantry. For those of you in a satisfactory or positive financial situation currently, we accept all non-perishable food items, paper and soap products.
There is a way for everyone to participate in the ministry of our food pantry. Please pray about how you might become a part of this ministry. Whether God is inviting you to be a recipient or a donor, we welcome your involvement. It is often easier to give than to receive; but if you are in need, please allow your parish community to assist you.
Fr. George Smiga

Won’t you join us in the Visitation Room Friday afternoon and be nourished by God’s word?
Something to think about from the St. Noel Endowment Board…. When is the last time you looked at who the beneficiaries are on your life insurance, IRA or other accounts? It’s time to take a look, update if necessary. When updating beneficiaries, know that a charity like the St. Noel Endowment fund can be a beneficiary of all or part of one of these assets. |
