Dear Parishioner,
It is with joy and thanksgiving that I announce this weekend that the U.S. Immigration Service has granted a new worker’s VISA to our Music Director, Agnieszka Bieniek. This means that Aga will be able to continue in her role as Music Director for St. Noel. We are delighted by this outcome from a long and complicated application process, and look forward to many happy years in which Aga can lead and develop our music program.
The nature of the VISA requires Aga and her family to travel to Poland in order to activate it. She will, therefore, be leaving soon and will remain in Poland for several weeks. During her absence, our excellent Music Ministry will assure that we have music for our weekend liturgies as well as funerals and weddings. I would like to thank all of you for your support and prayers which were a tremendous gift to Aga and her family as they underwent the VISA application process. In faith we believe that they made a real difference.
I also wish to announce a new effort by the Board of the St. Noel Endowment. As you know, the role of the endowment is to fund the future needs of St. Noel. To that end and in celebration of our 30th Anniversary year as a parish, the Endowment is conducting a “50 Wills Campaign.” We would like to have 50 parishioners choose to include St. Noel in their wills. This is truly future planning because no contribution is expected at this time. But your choice to remember St. Noel in your estate plan expresses your real support for our community.
St. Noel can become a beneficiary of your estate by the simple process of adding a codicil to your will. We are open to gifts of any amount – large or small. They can be designated as a dollar sum or as a percentage of the remainder of your estate. Adding a codicil can be done in a few minutes – with or without an attorney. Members of our Endowment Board of Trustees will be available to assist you and answer any questions you may have.
The Campaign is requesting that if you choose to include our parish in your will that you notify the Endowment of this fact (giving the amount or percentage is not necessary). In this way we will be able to determine if we have secured our goal of 50 wills. You will be hearing more about the “50 Wills Campaign” in the upcoming weeks. I hope that many of you will choose to participate. There is no better way to celebrate the 30 years we have existed as a parish than to assure we will have future resources for many more years to come.
