Dear Parishioner,
With Lent now behind us, it is time for our annual report on our fish fires. As always our fish fries are an important contribution to our income which is used to support many of our educational and service ministries. This year we profited $24,467.42; $1,812 of that amount resulted from our share of the 50/50 raffle. I would especially like to thank all of those who worked on this new dimension to our fish fries. I must of course thank all of our volunteers. Without the contribution of their time our six fish fries could not be as profitable.
Over the span of Lent we served 5,100 people. They consumed 2,060 lbs. of baked haddock and 1,380 lbs. of fried hoki, 56 gallons of tartar sauce, 640 lbs. of coleslaw, 6,468 breadsticks, and 1,290 lbs. of french fries.
Thank you again to all who contributed to another successful year in this annual Lenten tradition.
Fr. George Smiga
