Dear Parishioner,
You
have already or will soon receive in the mail our Annual Report
on Parish Life for 2003-2004. This report would have normally come
out last fall but we decided to postpone it so that it could reflect
the results of our campaign to increase our offertory collections.
There
is good news in the report. The response to the collection drive
was very positive. Since October 2004 we have experienced a 28%
increase in our weekly collections. This increase demonstrates the
commitment which so many have to St. Noel and your desire that we
continue to meet our ministerial goals. Because of your generosity
we are projecting a $90,206 increase in collections and we expect
to end our present fiscal year with a positive cash flow. The report
also documents the transfer of our building loan into a 10-year,
fixed -rate mortgage. The mortgage is for $590,000. Of this amount
$390,000 will be covered by the remaining pledges from our capital
campaign. The remaining $200,000 resulted from repairs performed
on our older building during the construction of the office-educational
wing. We plan to set aside $45,000 a year to cover this portion
of the loan. The ten-year loan we secured may be paid off at any
time without penalty. It is our goal to pay off the entire amount
in 5-6 years.
Again,
I want to thank all of you who have so generously stepped forward
to increase your donation to St. Noel. Your willingness to support
our parish in this manner is essential as we strive to meet our
financial obligations and continue our ministries. I would like
to thank the members of our Finance Committee for their work in
devising a wise and responsible plan to address our financial situation.
I promise you that I, together with our staff, will continue our
efforts to use productively the resources you have entrusted to
us.
