Dear Parishioner,

For many years St. Noel has been an active sponsor of the Cleveland Ecumenical Institute for Religious Studies. The mission of the Institute is to offer educational opportunities for people who desire an ecumenical search for spiritual truth and a deeper relationship with God. The Institute provides outstanding local teachers and professors as well as nationally known speakers who teach courses and provide special lectures on Biblical Studies, Spirituality, Ethics, Comparative Religions, and Theology and Culture.

It offers classes which focus on discussions of assigned readings with opportunity to have questions answered and learn from one another. There are no prerequisites, no examinations, and no written assignments.

The spring courses for the Institute have just been announced. They include:

“The Gospels of Judas and Mary Magdalene in the

Early Church,” Joseph Kelly, Ph.D is the professor.

The course will take place on four Tuesdays, April 10 th – May 1 st in Cleveland Heights.

“Beam Me Up, Jesus! The Theological and Political Implications of the Left Behind Series,” Linda Martin, Ph.D is the professor. The course will take

place on four Mondays, from April 16 th - May 7th

in Shaker Heights.

The Institute is an ongoing opportunity in our area for Christians to delve into their faith on a deeper level. Please pick up a brochure in the kiosk and consider whether the Cleveland Ecumenical Institute for Religious Studies could be an option for your own faith development.
