Dear Parishioner,
There
are two year-end announcements I wish to share with you today. The
first is that the yearly holiday concert by our music ministry will
be taking place this Sunday on the Feast of the Epiphany, January
2nd at 4:00 p.m. The talent and dedication of our music ministry
is an immense gift to our parish. Under the direction of Marc Weagraff
they work for months in preparation for the music you heard at Christmas.
The Epiphany Concert provides us an opportunity to hear again what
they have worked so hard to accomplish and to also hear Christmas
pieces of a more secular nature. Please consider bringing your family
and friends to close the Christmas season with a joyful sound.
The
second announcement is that each year we have traditionally held
a Family Italian Dinner in the month of January. This year the dinner
will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28th in our
parish hall. The meal includes two kinds of pasta, sausage, meatballs,
salad, bread sticks and dessert. The price is reasonable, $8.00
for adults and $4.00 for children. This price is possible because
we depend on members of our parish to help with serving and clean
up. I am therefore, asking you to consider giving some of your time
that evening to serve or clean up after people have eaten. There
is a sign-up sheet on the kiosk this weekend. The dinner can provide
a wonderful opportunity for children to work with their parents
in an effort to serve our community. I know from the past that many
families enjoy working the dinner together. Besides, working at
the Italian Dinner is an excellent practice for working at our Lenten
Fish Fries. Lent is early this year. Ash Wednesday is February 9

Peace be IN

of us would like there to be world peace. Wars seem to be happening
in all parts of the world, and we can feel that there is nothing
we can do to help stop them. What we can focus on achieving is finding
the peace in ourselves to help better our lives, and others around
us. Anthony Camino will be speaking January 13, 2005, at 7:00 PM
in the Resurrection Room to help us find that peace. Please come
join us to help make our New Year more peaceful
