Dear Parishioner,
We are pleased
to be welcoming to St. Noel next weekend, Joe Cistone, Executive
Director of International Partners in Mission. As our annual mission
appeal, Joe will be speaking to us at all of our liturgies about
the ministry of IPM. IPM identifies and selects projects from around
the world that are community-based and then links these projects
with individuals, parish congregations or other like-minded organizations
who can help fund and support these efforts. Whether it is a day-care
center in El Salvador, a program to serve the homeless in Cleveland,
or helping a group of women establish a co-op for their hand crafts
in Bosnia, IPM, grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition, promotes
justice, peace and hope among its many partners. In addition to
Joe's presentation there will be a video on IPM available for your
viewing in the narthex after each Mass.
Since Joe will
be speaking after Communion, our ushers will be in the narthex after
each liturgy next weekend to accept your contributions for International
Partners in Mission. Also any loose cash given in the collection
will be directed to this appeal. If you wish to contribute by writing
a check, please make it out to "St. Noel" and write "missions"
on the memo line.
Monies collected
next weekend will go to those projects currently in most need of
our assistance. Our Social Concerns Commission will be exploring
the possibility of our parish supporting a particular project some
time in the future.
We have been
called into relationship with a good and generous God who invites
us always to be generous with one another. Thank you for supporting
the work of IPM through your monetary contributions and your prayers.

HEALING MINISTRY
- Each one of us can be the recipient of God's healing touch for
all of our emotional, physical or spiritual problems. Come . . .
be touched by His love this Wednesday at the 6:45 p.m. evening liturgy.
Experience God's healing through the Sacrament of the Anointing
of the Sick during Mass. Be comforted and refreshed by Jesus in
the Eucharist. Prayer teams will be available to pray with you if
you wish.
"LET THERE BE PEACE" - gathers today (Sunday) in the
nursery 12:15 to 1:00 p.m.
SOCIAL JUSTICE GEM - For sometime now we have been serving
fair trade coffee on Sundays. Now the Diocesan Council on Global
Solidarity is also promoting the use of fair trade coffee to assist
small coffee farmers in developing countries who have been devastated
by an all time low in coffee bean prices. To help small farmers
build a better future for themselves and their families, you can
choose to buy your coffee from a certified fair trade company such
as Equal Exchange, a worker-owned co-operative. Ordering details
are available by calling 781-830-0303 or
www.equalexchange.com. Equal Exchange coffees and teas are also
sold at all Heinen's stores.
THE ELIZABETH MINISTRY'S "ELIZABETH'S ROSES" -

particular need relating to pregnancy, birth, adoption, fertility
or loss. Elizabeth ministers will pray daily for the families represented,
and if requested, will contact the family in order to provide continued
