Dear Parishioner,
Throughout
the year our high school youth group, “Prime Time,” raises funds
to support their activities. On February 15 they will be holding
a pancake breakfast to raise funds for their educational, social
and spiritual programs. Those programs include: Young Neighbors
in Action service trip to Detroit in August, University of Notre
Dame Vocation Initiative retreat in July, Diocesan Youth Conference
in March, Prime Time retreat in March, and food and materials for
their regular Sunday night meetings. The breakfast will run from
10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes,
juice and coffee will be served. The cost is $5.00 for adults and
$2.00 for children under 12. Tickets will be sold at the door. The
youth group will also be selling hams for Easter in March. But for
now call your family and friends together and come to the pancake
breakfast. It's for a good cause.

HEALING
MINISTRY – Please join
us this Wednesday evening at our 6:45 p.m. liturgy for Eucharist
and the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. You need not carry
heavy burdens or suffer alone, our community is here to support
you and pray for you. After Mass, prayer teams are available to
pray with you if you desire.
SOCIAL
JUSTICE GEMS – “Catholic
teaching calls us to serve those in need and to change the structures
that deny people their dignity and rights as children of God. Service
and action, charity and justice are complementary components of
parish social ministry. Neither alone is sufficient; both are essential
signs of the gospel at work” (U.S. Catholic Bishops, Communities
of Salt and Light).
SOCIAL
JUSTICE TEACH-IN will

E-MAIL
ALERTS! Keep up to date
with breaking issues needing a moment of your time. The Catholic
Commission of Lake & Geauga Counties can notify you if a pressing
social justice issue needs you're attention. Action can be writing
a letter or making a phone call to a legislator about that specific
issue, or simply praying about it. Go to www.Catholic-Action.org
and follow the links to register. They give full explanations
of the issue and concise connections as to how our Catholic beliefs
reflect on the issue.
