Children's Liturgy of the Word

Just as Jesus welcomed children, we invite them to understand more fully the Word of God through Children's Liturgy of the Word. During the school year, the 5:00 PM Mass on Saturdays and 10:00 AM Mass on Sundays, children between the ages of 6 and 9 are dismissed with a catechist where they hear the readings and reflect on them from a child's perspective. During the summer Children's Liturgy will be at the 11:00 a.m. mass on Sundays. They rejoin their families at the preparation of the gifts.

Special Education

School age children with special needs are welcome to St. Noel's Special Education Program.

Things to know about this session:

  • We meet on Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30 PM
  • A qualified staff and group of volunteers work individually and in small groups with members of this class.
  • Children preparing for sacraments receive individual and specific instruction.

Family-Based-Catechesis

Family-Based-Catechesis provides an opportunity for parents to give quality religious education to their children. Parents receive parish support and material to teach their children at home every week during the school year. To make Family-Based-Catechesis successful in your home:

  • Parents attend an orientation meeting at the beginning of the school year
  • Parents and Children attend several family sessions together throughout the year
    • Two are required--one before Advent and one before Lent
    • Other sessions are optional and include such gatherings as retreats and social functions
  • Parents attend a final program evaluation meeting at the close of the school year
