PSR: Parish Religious Instruction for children attending elementary school

Students in public schools, independent schools or children who are home schooled are required to attend religious formation classes during the school year. These classes meet for one hour on Monday evening from 4:30-5:30 or 6:30-7:30. The instruction for these classes include lectionary-based information (studying the Sunday readings and their impact in our lives) and traditional content including Catholic Doctrine.

You can help the St. Noel children discover truths for growing as God's children and learn that they are part of God's family.

Children may choose from the following options:

• Three-year olds through fourth-graders participate in a fun program where they learn Bible stories, make and eat their own snacks, sing, make crafts and play games.
  
  
• Kids in grades 5-8 participate in a musical program that follows the theme of VBS. They have an opportunity to sing, dance and act.
  
  
• A sports camp is available for kids in 5th and 6th grade. Each day the counselors work on skills for a specific spot and provide an opportunity to learn about the day's Bible lesson.

St. Noel's preschool program is designed for children ages 3,4, and 5. during the 9:00 AM mass from October through the first Sunday in May, preschool children enjoy a structured program that introduces them to God's love for all of us. The curriculum focuses on developmentally appropriate topics for this age group which includes the introduction to the Bible, our senses, Christian holidays, plants, animals and our feelings.

During each session children participate in a morning circle, music, art, snack, and prayer service. Special classes include a Live Nativity at Christmas and other seasonal celebrations. Family take-home papers are given to children each week for family sharing.

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION - Please contact the parish for information.
A fee of $30.00 is due at the time of registration. Registration and fee payment must be done prior to your child attending preschool.


The fee of $30 per child covers the cost of take home papers and class supplies.

You also need to sign up for 2 snacks and 1 party per Preschool child enrolled. Snacks are for a drink and food item for approximately 35 children and food or drink for one party.

Parties:

1. Christmas - food is either 2 dozen coolies or 1 dozen cupcakes with a candle in the middle
2. Baptism - food or beverage
3. Easter - food or beverage
   
   

PRESCHOOL - is in need of assistants and music staff for the school year. Volunteering consists of one Sunday per month, from October through April during the 9:00 a.m. Mass. If interested call the parish office at 440-946-0887
