Among
the many signs and symbols used by the Church to celebrate its faith,
music is of preeminent importance. As sacred song united to words
it forms a necessary or integral part of the solemn liturgy.” -
Music in Catholic Worship; US Bishops Documents 1972;1983.
St. Noel has been blessed with a long tradition of excellent music
and exceptionally musical liturgies. The Director of Music Ministries,
the core group of 70 volunteer musicians, the pastor, and the community
are dedicated to continuing and developing this tradition. Not only
are the primary hymns and acclamations enthusiastically sung by
the assembly, but the General Intercessions and Eucharistic Prayer
(led by the presider) as well. We rejoice in singing the praises
of God.
