Don and Jean Plavac have been parishioners at St. Noel since 1985.  With the help of Sharon and Bob Wollen and 20-35 other volunteers, they have been involved with the St. Augustine food deliveries for 20 years!  "We believe we have to give back and help people. Originally it was a way to get involved. Now we collect, distribute, cook and serve the food."

Don's very satisfied with this ministry and the involvement of others from our parish.  He Don helps Bill Ungar drain the pasta water.says, "Things are going pretty well with the volunteers, especially with those preparing for the sacraments. Our volunteers enjoy coming because it gives them a chance to meet those who come into the hunger center."

When asked how this ministry has changed him, Don replied, "I'm a better person. I've met so many wonderful people. It's very rewarding."
